Onwards

So what has been going on?

I finally finished Uni for the year which has been a great relief. Exam results are out soon so here's hoping they are good! It has been a long wait to be finally finished, as I was orginially planning as having 2011 as my gap year and travel to Europe for a big climbing trip, but due to pretty sweet Year 12 results I was offered a University of Tas Scholarship, which was too good to refuse. So travel got delayed a year. But it's on like Donkey-Kong next year, I have officially had a year's leave of absence approved, so it's game on for Europe in 2012! I now have 16 months off study, and I'm planning to make the most of it - it is onwards to bigger and better things.

In between exams I managed to climb a bit, mainly trained a lot at Alex's but managed to send the classic Waterworks slab Tour de France (26) which is a bit of fun. It has a cool top section with a bit of history to the route as well.

Other than that it has been the start of the Tyndalls season! TyNdAlL's mAnIa as a certain Jakey B would say. Garry and I did a 2 day trip a couple of weekends ago and began equipping a new route. It's set to be firecracker! I won't say where it is yet, but here's a pic of Gaz jugging out:

The lovely sunset looking out West always makes the Tyndalls something special. The memory card for the proper camera didn't make it in, so just these couple of photos from the trip. But we're heading up soon again with the goal to fully equip the route and start climbing the pitches. It could be quite hard, maybe 29 or thereabouts, so will be a good project for the Summer. Really looking forward to Gazza and myself having a ball climbing it.

So onwards to Summer, more climbing, a fair bit of work, some Tyndall Mania, and most excitingly, the big Europe roadtrip in 2012! Get psyched
